I took these rules from the book Netiquette by Virgina Shea where she describes all these rules. I will discuss just a few of them using my personal web experience.

Rule 8: Respect other people’s privacy

Privacy is one of the main rules in the internet. Now, we do a lot of things in the internet – e-mails, banking, shopping, and hundreds of others every-day actions. Nobody wants they bank account stolen, right?  I definitely agree with this rule.

Couple years ago I had a nice short easy-to-memorize ICQ number that i used to chat with my friends. Once, i woke up and tried to login to the ICQ. But I couldn’t. Somebody stole my account and changed the password. I lost my contacts, important information, such as passwords for my e-mail, etc. I was VERY frustrated. I had to change all the passwords on all my internet accounts (e-mail, facebook, bank, etc.).

Morale of this story is that if you dont want your e-mail stolen or reading by other people why should you do this? Respect others privacy and NEVER break this rule.

Rule 9: Don’t abuse your power

You are the super secret agent specialized in the network hacking? Or a system administrator having access to the all account in your company intranet? Well, there is no neccessity to show to other people that you are super-good in the internet and can make them shut up in 156 different ways.  Remember, if you are good, there is always somebody who is better than you.

Copuple years ago i was a forum moderator moderating messages from other users on the forum. i had an opportunity to delete messages and even ban users. When i’ve started to work on tihs forum i’ve understood that with big power come a big responsibility for every action that you did. Always remember it and do not abuse your power.

Morale: if you are good in something and you have a lot of power in the Internet remember, there is ALWAYS somebody who is better than you. Respect other people.

I was trying to decide what to do for my Photoshop class term project. We had to do 11 by 17 poster using all the techniques that we’ve learned. So, i started browsing web looking for an idea. After couple hours of research i still didn’t decide what to do. But then, i remembered a nice old computer game Arcanum and here the idea came!. Steampunk.

Steampunk is a s a sub-genre of fantasy that became popular in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world wheresteam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century – but with prominent elements of either sci-fi, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date.

I’ve started thinking about the concept an finally i’ve decided to make a steampunk maniac that lives in an old city and hunt for people (basically all maniacs do this =P ). So heres a picture that i’ve found:

Then, I’ve started looking for a ports of his steampunk body. Finally, I’ve started to add this parts creating someething new. It took me 5 hours to finish everything, but i am completely satisfied. Here is the final variont of my poster:

Jason Everett Keller, 40, allegedly accosted another homeless man, Stephan Fava, on the 200 block of Grand Avenue in South San Francisco about 1:45 p.m. March 30.

At the time, Fava was chatting with an acquaintance, who is also homeless, about “quantum physics and the splitting of atoms,” according to prosecutors.

Keller joined in the conversation and, for reasons unknown, got upset, authorities said. He picked up his skateboard and hit Fava in the face with it, splitting his lip, prosecutors said.

Fava also fell and broke his ankle, although how this happened wasn’t known, authorities said.

2. Everything is better with a cell phone. Well, this ad is good. But i have a question: is  this girl in the end is real? I hope yes =P

3.  Maybe this is not hte best ad in the world. But i LOVE yo-yos. I can play yoyo. I took part in a Russian yoyo contest. No, really – I LOVE YOYO!

This book will become your key to survive during zombie outbreak. It’s divided into six useful and necessary parts.

First, The Undead: Myths and Realities will tell you about zombies origin, their types and physiology.

Second, Weapons and Combat Techniques describes what types of weapons you should use – firearms, explosives, weapons for face-to-face combat (avoid it! fight only if there is no way to escape!), different types of biological, genetic, and radiation weapons.

Last chapter, Living in an Undead World, discuss about living in the world where zombies became dominant species on the planet (doomsday scenario). It tells about starting a new life and  focuses on creating a new civilization as far away from current civilizations as possible.

Also The Zombie Survival Guide gives a list of recorded zombie outbreaks from ancient times (The oldest entry is 60,000 BC, in Katanga, Central Africa) to the our times (the latest recorded zombie otbreak 2002 Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands).

Finally, remember Top 10 Lessons for Surviving a Zombie Attack:

• Organize before they rise!
• They feel no fear, why should you?
• Use your head: cut off theirs.
• Blades don’t need reloading.
• Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair.
• Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
